Google Pixel 10’s fingerprint shocker!
Google Pixel 10 gets faster ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and improved biometrics
The upcoming Google Pixel 10 series is set to elevate biometric security. Last year’s Pixel 9 phones introduced ultrasonic fingerprint scanners on select models, replacing the optical ones. This year, all Pixel 10 phones will come with enhanced ultrasonic fingerprint readers, and they are promised to be faster and more accurate.
According to Android Headlines, the fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 10 will be "faster than before". While the supplier remains unknown, this upgrade will allow seamless unlocking even with wet fingers, significantly improving user experience.
At the same time, Google will retain facial recognition in its phones. Though not on par with Apple’s Face ID, it is still secure enough to be used in banking apps.
The Pixel 10 lineup is expected to be unveiled on August 20 and will reportedly include Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Similar to last year, the Fold model is likely to use a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
